We have all been in a situation when we bought a shampoo or shower gel and after a few uses we dumped it in the trash because of its aggressive properties that cause itching, irritation or other problems. What you can do about this is to mitigate the aggressive effects of these products. CCC Ingredients will show you how you can still use these products and avoid problems.
Of course this does not apply to the shampoo with silicone and oil derivatives. You cannot hope for an improvement if you buy products with silicone. You can do better than this.
Shampoos with aggressive ingredients should be avoided because they are not beneficial for any hair or scalp. But sometimes there are shampoo that contain no silicones and petroleum products, and they are still bad for the hair.
So, do you know what to look for when choosing a good shampoo? You probably haven’t thought about this.
However, if you’ve already bought a shampoo and you paid a bit extra for it compared to the other shampoos, it is bad to throw it in the trash. So what you can do is mitigate the effects of the strong shampoo by following a few simple steps.
For oily hair
In an empty glass or plastic bottle (possibly from other shampoo), take about 125 ml. of the product corresponding to half of ordinary shampoo of a packing of 250 ml. Add half tablespoon of sunflower oil or coconut oil (which is a better option), close and shake. If you have then add afew drops of essential oil such as lemon, tea tree or rosemary. These essential oils are ideal for oily hair.
For dry hair
In an empty glass or plastic bottle take about 125 ml. of the product corresponding to half of ordinary shampoo of a packing of 250 ml. Add two tablespoons of olive oil and stir. Add a few drops of essential oil of lavender and sweet orange (about 10 total) and again shake.
The final product or shampoo will last about 2 to 3 months, although the suggested amount should be finished in a month. Before each use nicely shake the bottle. Then, take a small amount of this shampoo and diluteit with a little water (in a plastic cup) and apply to a wet hair. Massage the scalp and rinse with lukewarm water.
If the shower gel is too aggressive and dries your skin, then mitigated it in the following way:
Take about 125 ml. of the product and add four tablespoons any oil you have at home, olive, almond, sunflower or coconut oil.
With every shower use a small amount of the product and use it the way you normally use this kind of products.
The next time you buy quality products pay attention to the ingredients. It doesn’t have to mean that it is good if you paid a lot of money for it.
